Locotractors B 350H

Locotractors B 350H

1974

The B 350H locotractors were designed by CFD in 1974 for the industrial branch line market, until then dominated by the Moyse company, which offered diesel-electric locotractors with chain transmission.

A machine to compete with Moyse

The B 350H locotractor with its CFD powershift gearbox provided the same tractive effort as the Moyse machines, but by replacing the chains with a linkage to the axles via axles and cardan shafts, and the brake cylinders with brake blocks, the CFD machine had reduced maintenance costs.
